The wood textured board that goes by the name of Savanna stands out because of the unique composition of its surface which, in both of the brown tones available, can be easily mistaken for real wood. It takes extremely well to embossing, stamping, grooving or folding. It is suitable for use with all printing processes except screen printing because the inks used in screen printing are not able to reach all the way down into the depths of the embossing. When using offset printing, however, good results can be achieved despite the deep embossing by increasing the amount of pressure and by implementing soft rubber pads. For this reason it is not only a good choice for making attractive book covers and other types of printed materials but for making impressive packages or other bookbinding type work as well.
