Fleur Absolute Black mineral paint is a water-based, mineral artist and design paint that produces an exceptionally deep, matt black with extremely high light absorption. The special pigment and mineral formulation of the paint absorbs up to 99% of visible light, which not only achieves a particularly intense black value, but also visually minimizes three-dimensional contours. This property gives surfaces an almost "invisible" depth, which is particularly effective in experimental art projects or as a strong contrast in design applications.
Absolute Black is self-leveling and can be applied evenly and streak-free, creating a matt finish. The water-based formulation allows for easy application with brushes or rollers and makes the paint suitable for use on a variety of surfaces including paper, card, canvas, wood or metal - for non-absorbent surfaces we recommend a dark primer. The paint is UV-resistant and elastic, so it is quite resistant to ageing.
To achieve maximum black intensity, it may be advisable to apply the paint in several thin coats and allow it to dry completely before applying the next coat. As the surface is very matt after drying, it should be protected from mechanical influences and fingerprints so as not to impair the finish.
