Finetec Iridescence watercolors are water-soluble artists' paints with iridescent effects. These paints have been formulated in such a way that they develop a shimmering, almost "magical" color sheen depending on the angle and incidence of light - an effect that is particularly intense and visible on dark backgrounds, while a subtle transparency is created on light-colored papers.
Finetec's iridescent watercolors are produced in Germany under strict quality standards and are based on high-quality pigments consisting of mica or synthetic substrates. The paints are available in cell form and can be activated with a brush, a classic nib or a glass nib. After adding water, they can be applied cleanly, dissolve well and spread evenly - depending on the amount of water, effects ranging from soft transparency to intense color with an iridescent sheen can be achieved.
The range of applications for the paints extends from creative watercolor painting, calligraphy and hand lettering to special effects in illustrations and mixed media projects. The iridescent colors can be mixed with each other and in some cases with other Finetec colors to create individually coordinated effects.
