The Faber-Castell Graphite watercolor pencil set combines classic graphite drawing with the expressive power of the watercolor technique. The special watercolor graphite pencils allow you to first create precise sketches or hatchings and then transform them into soft gradients and painterly effects with water. In this way, simple pencil drawings can be transformed into lively, watercolor-like structures and atmospheric shades of grey.
The set contains five artist pencils in HB, 2B, 4B, 6B and 8B hardness. This graduated selection allows fine lines as well as dark, soft shading and expressive areas. This makes the set ideal for sketches, drawings, hatching and graphic studies as well as mixed media techniques.
The pencils are equipped with an extra break-proof lead with a diameter of around 3.3 mm, which is particularly stable in the wooden barrel thanks to a special gluing process. As a result, they remain reliable and durable even under heavy pressure.
Thanks to their water-soluble properties, the pencils are ideal for watercolor drawings, preliminary drawings for acrylic or oil painting as well as urban sketching or mixed media work. The practical case keeps the pencils neatly together and protects them during transportation.
