The Jumbo Grip has a triangular shape that provides a good grip and is about ten millimeters thick, so it fits comfortably in the hand—even a child’s. Because Faber-Castell does not use wax or grease to impregnate the leads during production (using an emulsifier instead), the colors are also water-soluble.
Incidentally, the pigments in these watercolor pencils are completely safe from a toxicological standpoint. An eco-friendly water-based varnish is also used to coat the barrel, so there’s no need to worry if loved ones chew on the end of the pencil during drawing breaks. The pencil can be sharpened with any standard sharpener designed for pencils with a larger diameter.
