Multi-layer structure for shock absorption and compressive strength
For applications with higher mechanical stress

| Material | paper |
| Flute type | BC flute |
| Top layer 1 | Kraftliner, 140 g/m², white |
| Corrugated sheets | Corrugating medium, 115 g/m² |
| middle layer | Schrenz, 100 g/m² |
| Top layer 2 | Testliner, 140 g/m², brown |
| Material behavior | not always completely flat; slight curves possible due to changes in humidity |
This double corrugated board with BC flute on both sides is a multi-layer corrugated board material for applications where increased stability, load-bearing capacity and protective function are required. The structure combines two different flute types - B and C flute - in one composite and thus combines a comparatively high compressive strength with a good shock-absorbing effect. The double flute structure creates a rigid cross-section that is suitable for transport, protective and intermediate layers.
The outer white top layer of 140 g/m² kraftliner provides a resistant surface that is suitable for markings, lettering or labels. At the same time, the kraftliner contributes to the tensile strength and tear resistance of the corrugated board. The inner brown top layer is also made of 140 g/m² testliner and serves as a stable opposite side in the composite. Between the top layers are the corrugated layers made of 115 g/m² corrugating medium and a middle layer made of 100 g/m² Schrenz, which completes the multi-layer structure and contributes to the overall stability.
Double corrugated board is often used where a material is required that protects contents from pressure, impact and punctual loads, for example as shipping packaging, pallet interlayer or protective board. Due to its paper-based structure, the material reacts to environmental conditions. Changes in humidity in particular can mean that the sheets do not remain completely flat. Slight curvatures or bends several millimetres high are typical of the material and are not a quality defect, but result from the hygroscopic behavior of the paper fibres.

Good to know: The furniture variants in our configurators that can be delivered quickly are not cut to size, but standard formats that can be returned.
Please note that we can only ship the large size per forwarding agency which means that there are higher shipping and handling costs.
Corrugation configuration: the first measurement given as to the size of the board (length and width, e.g 1000 x 700) always refers to the dimension running parallel to the flutes. The direction of the flutes can be seen on the top and bottom liners of the board and determine its lined texture.
