First cut the 30 x 40 cm sheets into pieces of about 2 x 2 cm. Coat the object you want to create with adhesive varnish and place a piece of paper on top. Spread the adhesive again and work your way up piece by piece until the entire area you want to cover is covered. Make sure that the pieces of paper always overlap a little.
