With its synthetic high-performance fibers, the flat watercolor brush from the Colineo 5822 series by Da Vinci has properties that are otherwise only found in natural Kolinsky red sable hair brushes. The brush hairs consist of a finely tuned mixture of differently structured fibers that ensure a harmonious combination of elasticity, dimensional stability and paint absorption capacity. This makes this brush particularly suitable for flat glazes, controlled paint applications and targeted washes in watercolor painting.
The flat bristles enable broad strokes and precise edge control. The synthetic fibers have a resilience that allows for very precise work - even with repeated use and exposure to moisture. All the materials used contribute to the brush's exceptional durability and make it long-lasting and easy to clean. The short, ergonomically shaped esagonal handle sits comfortably in the hand and enables precise guidance for various painting techniques.
