The Da Vinci Suzi Morris oil painting brush set (11748) was developed in collaboration with the British artist Suzi Morris for oil painting in order to achieve finely graduated transitions and smooth surfaces. The set consists of two brushes selected for this purpose, which are suitable for smoothing and softening paint applications due to their shape and hair quality.
The included 582 Mottler with badger hair blend is designed for smoothing large areas of paint application. Its wide bristles make it possible to eliminate brush marks and create even color gradients. The 135 Oval Blender with wavy synthetic pony hair is particularly suitable for smaller areas and detailed work. Its soft, oval shape supports the gentle blending of color transitions, which is particularly advantageous for portrait work to achieve natural skin tones and fine gradations.
The combination of two brushes, one made of natural hair and the other made of synthetic hair, was chosen to provide both the elasticity and softness needed for smoothing and blending. The set supports techniques that focus on eliminating brush marks and achieving soft color gradients.
