The Copic Ciao PORTRAIT set of 6 combines five Copic Ciao markers in shades for portrait drawings and figure illustration with a Copic Multiliner. The sets are available in different variants and cover different color ranges - from light, cool nuances to warmer and darker tones. This allows you to create different skin types, lighting moods and depth effects.
The alcohol-based ink of the markers enables even application without visible streaking. Thanks to the transparent color structure, several layers of color can be applied on top of each other, allowing you to create controlled transitions between light and shadow. This feature is particularly important when depicting skin, as fine gradations and soft gradients are required. The color selection within the sets is put together in such a way that meaningful tonal value gradations can be implemented directly.
The markers have two tips: a flexible brush tip for dynamic lines and soft transitions and a wedge tip for flat coloring. The set is complemented by a multi-liner, which is suitable for precise contours, preliminary sketches and detailed work. The pigmented, waterproof and smudge-proof ink of the multi-liner remains stable even when reworked with alcohol-based marker paint so that lines do not run or bleed.
