The Arches watercolor board convinces in a quality comparable with handmade papers. It is made from pure cotton on a cylinder mould machine. This traditional process ensures an even distribution of fibers and thus strong and dimensionally stable properties.
A mass sizing with natural gelatin further strengthens the board. You can scratch, erase and remove the pigments wet or dry. Even if the paper is exposed to the influence of water for a longer period of time while painting, it retains its shape. The pigments of your applied colors are fixed to the surface. Their luminosity and transparency remain.
The natural white watercolor board is acid-free and resistant to aging. Its surface is finely grained. You can use it not only for watercolor projects, but also for work with ink, gouache and acrylic.
The cardboard sheets feature four beautifully shaped deckle edges and a watermark. The roll has two deckle edges.
