Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer watercolor pencils are high-quality artists' color pencils that combine precise drawing with the possibilities of watercolor painting. The pencils contain high-quality, water-soluble pigments that initially produce a soft, color-intensive stroke when drawing. The color application can then be completely or partially dissolved with a damp brush, creating gentle color gradients and typical watercolor effects.
Thanks to their strong color brilliance and good lightfastness, the pencils are suitable for both detailed illustrations and expressive areas of color. Just a few brushstrokes are enough to activate the color and paint it finely or evenly. Depending on the paper, the paint application can dissolve completely and then behaves similarly to classic watercolor paint.
The approx. 3.8 mm thick leads are particularly break-proof thanks to special gluing in the wooden shaft, which enables reliable work even with heavy pressure.
