The classic academy easel is made of solid beech wood by the Italian Cappelletto family. Your canvas support bar can be adjusted by a metal grid at a height between 250 and 960 mm. Since the canvas support snaps firmly into place at the desired height, it offers stability even for slightly heavier canvas sizes. The canvas support bar can be adjusted without effort by pulling a metal ring underneath.
The tilt of the three-legged Lyra easel can be adjusted continuously, in which the back leg is folded more or less backwards. With an easy-to-turn wing nut, the tilt angle is secured and the stability of the easel is increased. Thus, it can be set up not only indoors, but also outdoors on slightly uneven terrain.
Canvas frames can be clamped up to a height of 1300 mm and should not be thicker than 45 mm. If a larger storage area for art supplies is needed, the tray for academy easels can be easily mounted on the canvas support. If the easel is not being used, it can be folded flat and stowed away behind the cupboard.
The academy easel is partially pieced together before delivery for easy self-assembly.
