The triangle is a classic starter instrument for children, music groups and first rhythm exercises. It is made of metal and is struck with a metal rod. This produces the typical bright, clear triangle sound, which asserts itself well and is suitable both for individual sound signals and for simple rhythmic accompaniments.
The playing principle is simple and easy to understand: the triangle is held by the string and struck with the metal rod. This allows children to directly experience how sound is created through touch, movement and material. The triangle is therefore a particularly accessible instrument for budding young musicians: it does not require any complicated fingering technique or additional accessories.
With its compact size of approx. 10 cm, the triangle is handy and easy to store in music and sound boxes. It can be used as a signal generator, accompanying instrument or effect instrument - for example to start a song, for special moments in a story or as a rhythmic accent in a children's group.
