The Owl paper clips are used to hold paper documents together in a detachable manner. They make this somewhat more durable than the commonly used single paper clip, because they are actually double paper clips. The wire is bent in such a way that at the point where a conventional paper clip is closed with a final bend in the wire, a second clip with the same wire is connected directly next to it - like a twin, so to speak. When viewed, this bending shape results in a somewhat abstract owl. Instead of the term "owl", the clips could also be called "double paper clip" or "twin paper clip". Due to their shape, the clips have approximately twice as many points of contact with the paper and therefore clamp several sheets of paper together.
The clips can be removed again if necessary without permanently damaging the paper. You can use them several times and the nickel-plated surface also protects them from corrosion. The silver-colored surface looks functional and unobtrusive and matches common metal office accessories. The owl shape also makes it possible to visually differentiate between groups of documents, for example when sorting project documents, teaching materials or invoices. This allows you to mark specific subject areas or processing statuses without having to use additional labeling systems.
