The Feminist Oracle card set from Laurence King Publishers offers helpful impulses to all those who are looking for orientation - be it for professional questions, family challenges or social commitment. With the underlying idea of presenting 50 remarkable women and feminists as guides, this set of cards offers an approach for reflection and decision-making in a world characterized by patriarchal structures.
The set was illustrated by the illustrator Laura Callaghan and accompanied by the author and curator Charlotte Jansen. The German edition was translated by Frederik Kugler.
Examples of use; draw a card:
- When you are faced with a major decision (e.g. professional, personal): The personality on the card then acts as a conversation partner in a figurative sense. How would she act?
- For daily impulse practice: pick a card in the morning, read the thoughts about the person depicted and think about how their attitude or action could affect your actions today.
- When sharing in a group or workshop: each participant draws a card and imagines they are the person on the card - followed by a short reflection or discussion about what they have found.
