In contrast to our PLASTIC JARS, TRANSPARENT, which are made of highly transparent polystyrene, these jars are made out of a milky polypropylene which is much more resistant to breaking and somewhat more supple and lightweight. This means that they are less transparent but on the other hand have a broader application range. Of course these jars, like the others as well, can be filled with all kinds of small oddments. They are food-safe and can actually be filled with somewhat aggressive fluids because polypropylene is very resistant to many different chemicals and the lid (which is permanently attached to the jar) closes up airtight. We will avoid making more really concrete claims regarding these jars – or, as the manufacturer puts it “the final test of the operational capability must be left up to the user”!
