Concertina folders pull out like an accordion and are primarily used for mounting photographs but can of course also be used for drawings and texts. They can be thumbed through like a book but beyond that they provide a really nice juxtaposition of the photographs or drawings in such a way that they can be looked at like a panoramic or as a thematic series.
These photo concertina folders have covers that are laminated with Katazome paper, which is a hand-made paper from Japan with a somewhat textile character that has a wonderful feel to it. It is this feature that made it inevitable that it would end up being used as a coating paper. In our instance it is responsible for the truly tasteful covers of these concertina folders, making them more than suitable as gifts.
