With screen-printing liquid you can draw directly onto the screen. It can be diluted with water for fine work, but otherwise use the drawing fluid alone. This screen-printing liquid is part of the Daler Rowney System 3 and is indispensable for screen-printing with this system.
Application:
Apply the silkscreen liquid with a thin brush on the surfaces of the screen that you want to print (which will later be used to squeeze the screen-printing ink)! In other words: paint your print on the screen mesh! After that, the image must be allowed to dry in a warm room for one hour or dried with a hair dryer.
Next, apply the screen masking agent in a uniform thin film to the screen and let it dry for one hour. To remove the silkscreen fluid, spray the screen from both sides with cold water. This process leaves the positive image as a template on the screen.
Place adhesive tape around the edge of the screen to prevent color loss during printing, then your screen is ready for printing!
The water-based screen-printing system 3 offers you the possibility to produce screen prints for your own use relatively simply and without aggressive chemistry or exposure of a photochemical coating. With System 3 you work with a low odor and water-soluble ink. All components are suitable for use in school, the studio, or at home.
