This chalk is actually not really made from chalk at all (chemical name: calcium carbonate) but rather from alabaster which is a special kind of plaster (chemical name: calcium sulfate). You can of course still use these chalks to write on sidewalks, our CHALKBOARD FILM, our framed CHALKBOARD and any other surfaces that have a rough enough texture. (In the case of our SKIN CHALKBOARD we especially recommend our CHALK MINI, ROUND version because it rubs onto its painted surface so nicely and thereby creates deep, full lines and lettering.)
These chalk crayons will not create dust or sand during use. Letters made with this chalk are very legible because it has great lay down properties (colour transfer). In addition, they are easy to wipe off.
The box we offer has 12 chalks of assorted colours: yellow, peach, orange, red-orange, red, lilac, blue, light blue, light green, green, light brown and brown.
