If you consider how much time children spend sitting at a desk in school or at home then the importance of “correct” seating is obvious. The height of the table and the chair should correspond to the size of the child and the chair should allow dynamic sitting – i.e. should allow a continuous changing of sitting position – in order to prevent muscles and intervertebral discs from being strained by having to continually remain in one position.
The Moltoflex swivel chair fulfils all of these requirements. The seating area angle is adjustable from - 5° to + 2° and therefore makes possible various positions for work or relaxation and the oscillating seatback, which is tapered upwards, allows a great deal of freedom of movement for the upper body. The correct seat height is continuously adjustable by means of a gas-filled telescopic strut (as easy as child’s play!). But the most special feature of this chair is that the correct ergonomic seat depth is automatically regulated. This is accomplished by the coupling of the height setting with the depth setting by means of a bow-shaped metal piece. As the child grows the chair can grow with him – and that for many years because the seat height of the Moltoflex can be set from 340 to 460 mm. The solid craftsmanship also assures that the chair will last a long time. The student swivel chair Moltoflex conforms to the EN 1729/E 1995 criteria for chairs and tables in educational facilities. Its high degree of functionality does not make taking a break from homework unnecessary but, still, it can definitely be “asseverated” (as a lawyer might say): The Moltoflex is a fine student chair.
We offer this swivel chair for sale with disc sliders or with castors. Sliders or castors can be replaced (pulled out) easily. Please note that the minimum seat height for the version with castors is about 30 mm higher. The rubber coating on the castors is soft and therefore suitable for use on hard floors like parquet, linoleum or tiles. The Moltoflex is a great partner for the CHILD TABLE BASE E2 because it too can be adjusted for height.
