The Air Pad office chair from Interstuhl is a complex seating machine for people who must sit for long periods of time or who have chronic back problems. It is equipped with elementary functions like a sprung seat, a seat tilt adjustment, a height adjustment, height-adjustable backrest and armrests that are height, width and depth adjustable. It also has an automatic „Body-Float“ synchro mechanism which provides support in any seated position while facilitating the changing of positions, from a straight-up „at attention“ position to a relaxed, laid-back one: correct ergonomic postures are thus guaranteed. If needed, the mechanism can be locked in place. The innovative stretched membrane on the backrest (the so-called Air Pads) not only provides a visual transparency but also an airy climate for the body.
