The Acrystal retarding agent is used in conjunction with acrylic resin bound synthetic gypsum (e.g. ACRYSTAL PRIMA RESIN) in order to increase the working life of such materials. This retarding agent not only increases the curing time but the hardening time after de-moulding as well. An excess of retarding agent can extend the working time for as much as many hours or even completely prevent any curing at all. The ratio of the agent being added should be between 0.2 and 0.3 (maximum 1) to 100. More detailed information regarding working with this product can be found under “Casting and Laminating Resin”.
