This extremely thin version of a double-sided adhesive tape is highly transparent and, in addition, is available in widths starting at 5 mm. As a result, it combines a number of attributes that have been requested by our customers – and that at a very reasonable price. Its extreme thinness means that it is hardly noticeable when applied, which makes it the perfect choice for use on very thin materials like transparent paper or glassine paper. In its thinnest version of 5 mm it is great for making very narrow borders when scrapbooking or for doing mounting work with very fine graphics. The PEPT polyester carrier material is considerably harder and more transparent than PVC or thin non-woven paper. This adhesive tape has great holding power when first applied and can only really exhibit its full adhesive strength when applied to very smooth surfaces. When applied to low surface energy surfaces like POLYPROPYLENE, the tapes adhesive strength is diminished but is still strong enough for normal requirements. We have the Montex DXP 12 made for us out of an X-film lamination film which, because of its extreme thinness, can only be processed on a lamination machine on a professional level.
