Contact glues remain really elastic after bonding (that is what makes the bond very durable). They contain solvents, are especially good for planar bonds on diverse materials and should be used as follows: apply the adhesive evenly to both sides – in the case of larger areas use a SERRATED SCRAPER for application – allow it to evaporate for approximately 15 minutes until the glue is no longer sticky to the touch and then firmly press the pieces together. In doing this last step, it is the amount of pressure applied, not how long you apply it, that determines the solidity of the bond. Repositioning is not possible. As far as working with Pattex Gel and its applications, it is very similar to PATTEX CLASSIC POWER GLUE but is not as temperature resistant. It is distinguished by its somewhat more pasty consistency, which makes possible its application on vertical surfaces and means as well that it does not drip or go stringy.
