This single track guide rail, which is designed for the lower guide of the Shoji sliding door, matches to the SLIDING DOOR WHEEL and is, by virtue of its very low height, also suitable for use in cabinets as well as for barrier-free installation on floorings. The U-channel, which has an inner dimension of 20 mm, is designed as the upper guide for the Shoji sliding door. In order to assure that the wooden frame of the door slides easily in the rail, the upper vertical frame members must first have rectangular notches cut out of them as described in the detail drawing found under JAPANESE SHOJI FRAME, STANDARD. This aluminium profile can be cut to length with any metal hack saw or mitre saw and must be pre-drilled so that it can be screwed into place.
