The MT 1 table base consists of two curved bow-shaped steel rods which are to be attached to the bottom of the table top by means of two accompanying clamps which encircle the rods and are fixed by screws. With a 30 mm thick table top the whole construction reaches a height of 740 mm. By folding the two frame pieces (which rotate in the clamp) towards the middle of the table, the construction reduces to a height of 240 mm and can be stacked one on the other. Despite its elegant appearance the table base is very stable and does not wobble.
