In addition to the stationary thermo cutters that, with their guide bars and angle adjustments, do such a great job when precision is required, we offer this handheld machine. It is mainly for use in the decoration, model making and hobby segments where it can be used to cut freehand styropor and other rigid foam materials (e.g. STYROFOAM, SELITRON PS RIGID FOAM PANELS). Cutting large rigid foam panels with a stationary machine, which has a relatively small working area, can be very difficult or even impossible. Similarly, the maximum width of the cutter opening of a stationary hot wire cutter limits the size of the shapes that can be cut. The handheld cutter with its flexible uses is therefore a very helpful supplementation to stationary machines. The three different blades of the handheld polystyrene cutter are designed for all possible applications and can, by using the Allen key that is included, be quickly interchanged. The 50 mm long standard blade is good for cutting, for example, letters of any size or for rough cutting landscapes for a model; the 30 mm long fine blade can be used to make finer type cuts like, for example, small radii. The hook blade is good for, among other things, cutting U profiles for embedding cables in insulation boards.
Important!
The blade should only be changed after it has cooled off because otherwise the mount can be damaged!
