The good and easy solderability of the this brass profile strip makes it an excellent product for archtecture-, railway- and diorama model making. By painting it with a silver spray (e.g. METAL SPRAY) it can give the appearance of steel if so desired. Milled brass profile strips have sharp edges while extruded profile strips tend to be somewhat more rounded. The profiles are best cut with a circular saw or by hand with a household saw or metal bow saw. Brass can be soldered with excellent results. Gluing work can be done with mixing adhesives like e.g. ones based on epoxy or cyanacrylate; for model making there are also such glues as RUDERER L 530 or UHU hard. Alternatives include POLYSTYRENE or ASA PROFILE STRIPS.
