Chromolux board is the true classic among cards and boards. One side of this voluminous and quite stiff board is painted by means of a special process: through contact drying on a chromed, high-gloss polished metal cylinder, a glossiness is attained that is extraordinary for such a material.
The board has great printability (e.g. screen printing, offset, etc.) and can be grooved, folded, stamped and embossed. Illustrations done with the offset process have almost the quality of a photograph. Chromolux is used for very special (luxury) packaging, in the field of advertising as well as for model making.
The following are particularly good for writing on this board: STAEDTLER PERMANENT LUMOCOLOR (F), COPIC MULTILINER. The following pens should not be used: STABILO POINT 88, STAEDTLER TRIPLUS ROLLER.
