You can use the leather alternative well as a cover material for book covers, photo books, photo albums, menus, boxes, etc. Sidra Apple Leather has a pleasant soft feel with a matte surface. It can be processed well and is excellent for embossing. It can also be wiped clean with a damp cloth and is UV-resistant. For gluing, hotmelt is recommended in the first instance; as dispersion glue, you should use a strongly adhesive variant such as Planatol Bookbinder's Glue AD 94/5 B.
Sidra apple leather is made from 40% of the leftovers from apple juice production (pomace). The remaining 60 % of the material is made of polyester and polyurethane plastics. The artificial leather is dyed with natural pigments and is vegan.
